Art workshop in progress at Yanco Agricultural Institute

Art Deco Arts

Art Deco Arts is a partnership between two friends in art who wanted to make use of the wonderful facilities at Yanco Agricultural Institute for artistic endeavours.

At the same time we aim to promote our home region of Leeton Shire, in the Riverina, NSW. It has numerous examples of art deco architecture due to a period of expansion in the 1930’s when the fledgling Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme was based here. Leeton has so much to offer, we invite you to come for a visit. Check out the Visit Leeton website

Not only is Leeton Shire a great place to live and visit but it has a growing artistic community of all types which we aim to enhance and promote by providing high quality tutors in a range of disciplines. We also welcome artists from afar with our well organised events. Leeton has many quality accommodation options with a wide range of dining choices available.

The two friends are Ayla Young, who is an artist specialising in charcoals and can be found at waratahststudio.com.au. and Dorothy Roddy, who mainly works in oils but also enjoys many forms of drawing and can be found at artinoils.com.au. The pair also have years of experience providing workshops to the local community. Together they will provide you with a fun and professional experience in whichever events you choose to participate.

Come join us, and see what everyone is talking about!
